The rules for using FoodGPT — including how we work with your YouTube data.
Last Updated: August 2026
By creating an account, connecting your YouTube channel, or otherwise using FoodGPT (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions ("Terms"). If you don't agree, please don't use the Service. We may update these Terms from time to time — see Section 15.
FoodGPT is a toolkit for food content creators on YouTube. Paste a YouTube video URL and the Service uses AI to generate recipes, blog posts, social media carousels, SEO metadata, and a shareable media kit ("Creator Card").
The Service is offered on a Free plan and a paid PRO plan. Each plan includes specific tools and usage allowances, which are described on our Pricing page and may be updated from time to time. Current tools include StepGen, Creator Card, Idea Engine, Blogcast, CarouselMaker, and YouTube SEO Optimizer (PRO only).
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to create an account. You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity that happens under your account. Let us know immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised use.
FoodGPT uses YouTube API Services to let you connect your YouTube channel. By using this feature, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service in addition to these Terms.
When you connect your channel, FoodGPT requests read-only access to three separate YouTube API permissions, depending on which tools you use:
yt-analytics-monetary.readonly) — used only to check whether monetisation-related data is available for your channel, so Creator Card can show a simple monetisation status such as "Monetized". We do not request or display your revenue, estimated earnings, ad earnings, or any other dollar-value financial information.Read-only access. FoodGPT can never post, upload, edit, or delete anything on your channel.
No credentials collected. We never see or store your Google account password.
Revoke anytime. You can remove FoodGPT's access at any time from your Google Account permissions page, independent of your FoodGPT account settings.
Our access to and use of information received from YouTube API Services complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements, and with Google's Privacy Policy. In short: Data API content is used only by the specific generation tool you ran it through, and Analytics API data (including the monetisation status check) is used only to build your Creator Card. We never display revenue or earnings amounts, we don't sell your YouTube data, and we don't use it for advertising. Full detail on what we collect, store, and for how long — including OAuth token retention — is set out in our Privacy Policy.
The Free plan has no charge and no expiry. The PRO plan is billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, as selected at signup) until cancelled. You can cancel anytime from your account settings — cancelling stops future billing, and your account reverts to the Free plan at the end of the current billing period.
We offer a money-back guarantee on your first PRO payment. Full detail is set out in our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
"Unlimited" PRO tools (currently StepGen and Blogcast) are unlimited for normal, individual creator use—not unbounded use. Each generation consumes computing resources and AI processing capacity, which carry real operational costs.
Each PRO account has a monthly fair-use allowance of up to approximately 83 million input tokens or 10 million output tokens, or a proportional combination of both.
These limits are intended to comfortably cover normal individual use. If a user exceeds these limits or uses the Service in an excessive, automated, abusive, or resource-intensive manner, FoodGPT may temporarily limit access to the affected features or apply reasonable usage restrictions. Where reasonably practicable, we will provide prior notice before making changes to your access.
These allowances may be adjusted from time to time based on changes in our AI infrastructure, computing costs, or operational requirements.
You retain all ownership rights to the videos, recipes, and other content you submit to FoodGPT ("Your Content"). By using the Service, you grant FoodGPT a limited licence to access, process, and store Your Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
You're responsible for making sure you have the right to submit any video or content you process through FoodGPT — for example, that you own the video or have permission to use it.
FoodGPT uses AI to generate recipes, blog posts, and other content based on the videos you provide. This output is provided as a starting point, not a guarantee of accuracy.
Our AI is highly accurate but not perfect. You're responsible for reviewing all AI-generated content — particularly ingredient quantities, cooking times, and any health or safety-related instructions — before publishing it or relying on it. Always verify generated recipes against the original video.
